ILGA-Europe conducted the largest ever assessment to map the communications needs and capabilities of LGBTI organisations in Europe and Central Asia. We would now like to invite you to a special webinar to present the results.

25 February at 16:30 CET / 10:30 EST

ILGA-Europe and the Global Philanthropy Project invite funders working on LGBTI issues and/or interested in communication as a tool to support human rights and equality to join this webinar.

During the webinar we will present the outcomes of a needs assessment on the communications capacity of LGBTI groups and organisations in Europe and Central Asia.

The research, which is the most in-depth investigation of this kind, outlines how communications in the LGBTI movement is under-resourced. But it also goes deeper to provide, for the first time, a comprehensive view of the untapped potential within the movement's communications diversity.

The report is based on 190 survey responses, more than 20 interviews with activists, two country case studies and a focus group. Register here if you would like to receive the needs assessment report before the webinar.

Speakers will discuss the main findings of the report and will explore with participants how current needs can be effectively met.

You will hear from Evelyne Paradis, Executive Director at ILGA-Europe; Matthew Hart, Director at GPP; Michael Heflin, Director for Equality, Human Rights Initiative, Open Society Foundations; and Jessica Huber, Global Equality Fund manager, US Department of State.

The webinar will be moderated by Alli Jernow, Program Director – Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity at Wellspring Philanthropic Fund.
